Tiny Toms? Hell yes!

Do my kids need Tiny Toms?  Well no actually.  Actually it makes my heart palpitate just thinking about buying them shoes that cost 30 dollars.  My adorable little punks would lose one within a half hour and it wouldn't resurface until they had grown out of them.  Or they would pull that classic feet growing two sizes during the night thing.  I swear that they do that on purpose!  But for some reason a pair of Tiny Toms just seems right.  It might be the name.  Who can resist the name Tiny Tom?  It is like a cruel reference to Tiny Tim, right?  Like your kids need them to not look and feel like a little malnourished kid with a limp.  Plus the people at Toms pay it forward!  I felt super charitable when I bought my first pair.  I sound like I am trying to talk myself into them because I am trying to talk myself into them!

Aren't these Ash ones great?  They would go with everything Nicco owns.

Boat shoes!  AAAHHH!  I am dying!

And Lola needs pink sparkle shoes.  I am getting sick of looking at her Dora shoes.  Even if she does love them...... mean mommy?  Yeah maybe

To tell you the truth I am in love with these because the sole matches the top.  I love little details like that!

Decisions decisions!  What to do what to do!

Yay for the interweb!

I had to share this link!  It is so so awesome!  First I have to tell you a secret- I have wide feet.  Like almost as wide as they are long.  It isn't attractive!  The sad thing is that it means that I miss out on a lot of shoes that I absolutely adore because I can't force my fat little feet in them.  Believe me I try!! Oh how I try!  Now I am going to try and stretch them with ice!  This is crazy smart!  Yay for cute shoes and getting my super wide feet in!

Sunday Songs

I haven't been able to stop listening to this song since I read Elsie's post on A Beautiful Mess about her wedding ceremony here.  Her whole wedding was beautiful!

Photo Friday

I found this photo here
Summer is finally here!  The weather here in Utah has been iffy the last few weeks but I think it is safe to say that summer has at last arrived!  I need to take some summer photos!  I will be back on next Friday with my own summery photo!

cinnamon roll waffles, literally

Don't those look good?  And they are insanely easy!  I got the idea originally from Plain Chicken.  Awesome food blog by the way!  She did it with refrigerator biscuits.  Ingenious, no?!  I decided to take it a step further!  I took the refrigerator cinnamon rolls and flattened them and stuck them all up in the belgium waffle maker.  Then I just put the frosting that came in the tube over them.  How can I even do a recipe?

UM?

refrigerator cinnamon rolls
frosting that comes in the tube

Pop tube and flatten each cinnamon roll.  Stick on waffle maker.  Cook 2-4 minutes.  Pull out and frost.

Yeah ridiculous recipe.  Not even really a recipe.  Anyway... try it cause you will really like it!  My one suggestion is to get the big cinnamon rolls.  They will fill out the waffler better.

I am in a hair rut...

big time!  My hairstyle of choice right now is the Tinkerbell bun.  You know the one I am talking about!  The messy bun on the very tippy top of your head.  It is getting ridiculous.  I wear it everyday.  I can't help it!  I get freaking hot as hades with my hair down!  Miserably hot.  So my hairs get pulled up as far away from my neck as they can get.  But guess what?!  I look like a frumptown lady.  I can't pull it off very well.  In hope of getting some hair inspiration I have gathered a bunch of tutorials of fantastic hairstyles!  Enjoy!

The first two are from A Cup of Jo.  I am in love with this blog!
A messy side ponytail that I just adore!

This one is from Little Tree Vintage

Another one from A Cup Of Jo

The Hair Romance blog was a heaven sent!
I love this Twist Pin hairstyle!
and how about en e-book with thirty styles in thirty days?

Straight from ebeauty blog

 youtube has a million!
I love this bow tutorial in particular

I will try and do a new hairstyle every week and keep you posted!  Maybe someday the tinkerbell bun can be banished from my repertoire!

Bueno bueno

I just had to quickly post about something super fun!  Have you heard of Bueno bueno?  These two loverly ladies make key necklaces among a lot of other fantastic accessories.  4 times a year they do custom key necklaces.  They cut out a date or a small saying or names on the shaft of the key and then a little design on the top/head part.  Does that sound vaguely sexual?  My bad....... any way...  you can get anything you can imagine pretty much.    I bought one last time around customized with a very important date in my little families history.  SO guess what?  They are taking custom orders for the rest of the month.  Hop on over and check it out!  I wear mine pretty much everyday!

Nice face, eh?  Yeah I have some mad posing skillz son!

This is one of my favorite pieces of jewelry.  Second only to my engagement ring!

27 before 28

Hello there lovelies!  I have been thinking about doing a birthday post for a while now.  Instead of doing a post where I tell you about what we did and what I got for my brirthday I am going to post my list of 27 goals for the next year.  My 27 before 28!  I got the idea from the amazing Elsie over at a beautiful mess.  Which is a daily read of mine.  She is a little bit of a blog crush for me actually!  here is her  28 before 29 list from this year.   And on to my list!

27 before 28!!

1. change my name to Hemingway
2. see the Foo Fighters live
3. make a pinhole camera
4. learn to play the banjo
5. learn to bake a loaf of bread- that people will actually want to eat- from scratch.

Some of them may seem silly and actually they aren't all goals but those are 27 things I want to get done before I turn 28.  Some are easy and some are a bit daunting!  It is going to be a great year!

*that picture has absolutely nothing to do with this post but it is my birthday post and one of my favorite pictures of myself so I get my way!

I'm Back!!!

Miss me?  I missed you!  Nick, the kids and I went on our first little family vacation.  It was super great!  There are so many cute and hilarious stories that I need to write down so I can remember them for years to come.  My kids kick ass!  They never cease to amaze me. Here are a couple of pictures of where we were.  There are more and more to come!

I want to come back with a pair of shoes to add to the shoe tree!  It was about 5 miles or so outside of Zion's park.  It was so awesome!

Oh Zion's!  How I loved thee!  Nick and I already have plans to go back and do some of the bigger hikes without the kids.  Their poor little legs barely made the little walks that we did do with them.

I had to share this picture.  I am so proud of it.  My little Nicco took it.  He is obsessed with our camera and he takes pretty decent pictures.  I think this boy needs a camera for his birthday!

Favorite drink in the world!

SO I tried to fix my red eye and now I look like a demon with black eyes instead of red eyes.  That is HAWT!  Any way... Have you tried Arizona's Watermelon drink?  I L.O.V.E it!  You can tell I love it because of the crazy eyed look I have on my face.  That is nothing but pure freak happiness and maybe a little crazy from the lack of sleep.  I want to drink it out of a coconut with a bright pink umbrella!  Bright pink to match the drink of course.  I am chic when I handle my fruity drinks yo!  Oh by the way.....

It is my Birthday!!

Yeah I am excited!
